A big inspiration for the Depot Toolbelt was the Depot as a work building with many tools for restoration and conservation. The toolbelt is a carrier for the things we carry close to us. Because every day can be different, the toolbelt is designed to be flexible and modular to carry. The toolbelt is made of sailcloth that is upcycled from a waste stream. The pattern pieces for the tool belt were machine cut from the canvas by printing company Boer & van Wijk. The bags were assembled in the workshop of AnoukxVera in De Wasserij and the production of the tool belts was done entirely locally. Leftover sailcloth from the Schiedam sailmaker Bingham as a base, combined with a silver car seat belt provides a robust and futuristic look. The tool belts are finished with colorful details such as a neon label and funky strings. AnoukxVera went through several iterations of the design to ensure the best possible quality and functionality. These iterations had to do with material choices, but also with the feasibility in production and the shape and size of the bags. The Depot Toolbelt, designed by AnoukxVera, is a modular concept to carry your daily tools. Separate pouches can be added to the main crossbody belt. The geometric design of the Depot Toolbelt is inspired by the raw and futuristic character of the Depot and comes in two color schemes.
