Hans Locher, former director of the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, put together this lavishly illustrated publication with works by Rembrandt, Goya, Gavarni, Isabey, Hervier, Daumier, Jongkind, Käthe Kollwitz, Redon, Kees van Dongen, Co Westerik and others, and essays by Hans Locher and Jonieke van Es.
